Volleyball season begins!
After a year away due to Covid, Volleyball is back at Century! The 2021 volleyball season kicks off August 27, 2021, at the Anoka-Ramsey Crossover Tournament with a match against Mesabi Range College at 1pm. Coach Jay Kam is excited to jump into the season. "We have a great group of athletes this year and they've been working hard the last couple of weeks." The team features an athletic class of freshmen coming from near and far. Alice Schneider made the journey across the Atlantic from Nancy, France to play here at Century. Mackay Williams comes from Salmon, Idaho. The rest of the team is comprised of local athletes from Minnesota and Wisconsin. Greta Warmka is from Grand Meadow and will be finishing in the prosthetics program this year. She is the only returning player and is ready for another season. Other Freshmen looking to make their mark on the court this year include Kailey Mroszak and Emma Crandall from Forest Lake; Bella Proper and Keyera White from St Paul; and Brooke Weyand from Somerset, WI.
The first home match is set for Saturday, September 4, at 12pm vs. Minnesota State, Fergus Falls.
Century is a member of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) and Region XIII.
